According to ITV Teletext there were people outside TVC "burning their TV Licences" the sad t**ts. One thing I'm glad the BBC is doing instead of having it's head up it's a**e Wink .

I'll probably miss it though I have Open All Hours Series 3 on me DVD player at present

Clearly you are new to the notion that BBC News is now used as an advertising platform for any major BBC programme.

I think "Mediawatch" is the organisation which has provided by far the most publicity to this programme (though the people preaching outside Broadcasting House in Belfast have been reminding those who may have forgotten it's on tonight)...

I think it helps if you have seen the Jerry Springer show first.. I personally didn't know that it was on BBC 2 tonight, until all this fuss was kicked up. I decided to tune in and see what all the fuss is about. In my opinion it isn't as bad as some of the critiscm has been making it out to be, and is too an extend a funny spoof of what actually appears on the show.

I wouldn't be suprised if it does quite well in the ratings, though the amount of publicity it has recieved in the past few days.

Indeed.

The only way to completely cancel a TV Licence is to send your paper copy back for a refund.

These sad persons have now lost any chance of a cancellation by burning the ONE document they need to actually effect that procedure.

Personally, I don't like the sound of this programme either, but I'm just taking the OBVIOUS step and simply not watching it.

I'm watching it at the moment.

Apart from the dodgy language, it doesn't seem to be anything special IMO.

If it was 'proper' Springer, it would be bleeped !

(By the way, why protest outside the regional BBC centres. They're not responsible for broadcasting it.

It's 'Landon' innit !

None of the regional centres could do anything about the actual transmission, seeing BBC 2 is a networked channel 99.9 % of the time, & all they could affect was the analogue transmission anyway!)

How can anyone protest about this. Its far too funny to be offensive...

Yeah but the fact they're at a BBC Building protesting is enough. LOL the War was in Iraq yet we protested around the UK. Wink

I've watched bits and the only bits I'd call blasphomy are the line about something the **** Pope. And the end of a line which was Just Die Jesus - I don't know what the rest was as I had just changed the channel.

I really don't understand why people feel the need to complain about everything. Get over it, we don't want to be a nanny state.

Regions couldn't, no. Technically any one of the Nations could take it off, but of course in these circumstances wouldn't.

I don't really know what this is all about! Right now, Jerry is hosting a show in Hell and now Satan is singing...

Well I watched it for 15 minutes longer than I would have done but for the furore created by the religious objectors, but soon gave up. What was the need for the continuity annoucement and then the superflous additional one from, I think, Kirsty Wark?

Cultural entertainment sure is a broad church on the evidence of the programme.
