well the series was axed by CBS, only to be brought back as a mid-season replacement for a few weeks.
It started off well in the US and Australia but that stupid 3 month hiatus ruined the show and ratings collapsed

Yes I had heard that Jericho was cancelled after 22 episodes but after a massive fan outcry and CBS being inundated with literally tons of "nuts" they have commissioned another 7 episodes, with the possibility of the show being picked up for more.

The last I heard is that CBS are going to re-evaluate its position based on the US ratings repeat of season one and the seven second season episodes.
