I'm hopeful under the new format (however it will work) it will give less airtime to ridiculous suggestions from viewers that should be shot down rather than "good point Mr Bloggs from Crawley" (much like Vine's R2 show).

A fantastic suggestion from a viewer the other week was to "use the old BBC Three frequency for World Cup games", so that they didn't have to be shown on BBC One.

They do realise CBBC makes that impossible, right? Not that it would ever happen anyway.

I noticed that the 'contact us' information no longer includes an address to send in letters. I'm surprised that had continued quite so long anyway.

The postal address is still included in the EPG, listings and website.

It does seem refreshing, and works quite well.

Is it just me or does the bed at the start jar a little with the theme. They could do with a lighter version of the theme/change of theme to fit it.

Whilst we’re discussing points of view, does anybody remember the lovely theme and animated titles that accompanied Des Lynam’s tenure? I remember that the titles featured a dog in a car.

The voiceover only style does come across a bit cheap and does feel a bit like something that would only be available via the red button as an additional bit of content (back when such stuff existed)

The budget must be really tight if they can’t run to filming Tina doing a few in vision links stood somewhere in New Broadcasting House.

It already looked cheap during Vine's era when he sat at a CSO.

I've now caught up with POV on iPlayer. Daheley is clearly trying not to be a Radio 1 newsreader in her delivery, but she still suffers from the Derbyshire syndrome of being a radio presenter on TV. Yes, you're doing a voiceover narration, but still not quite right. It'd be fine if it was a POV podcast, which is where I can see this format going.

So your earlier comments were without even seeing it?

Is it still a BBC Scotland production?

BBC Northern Ireland I think you mean?

And given the presence of Belfast on their first Roving Sofa segment and the Irish voices I’d have thought so.

I know it was Scotland at one time, previously Birmingham.

I’m pretty sure it left Birmingham for Northern Ireland and has never been BBC Scotland.

Of course the links were never recorded in Birmingham or Belfast.

"Never" isn't entirely true, Terry Wogan hosted an edition from The Mailbox when it first opened!

Sadly from what I've heard the budget was very much cut, year on year, so even with the cost savings after Jeremy left it's still done on a tiny budget.

It's literally never been done on CSO? I'm sorry you thought it looked cheap, I did the best with the "set" available to us!
