Almost certainly the latter. This is something which has never been verified outside the redtops, and certainly not by ITV.

They've cut back on the number of episodes made so I understand. This is what makes me believe a US series is a crafty way to save money.

They also gave us Sally-Jessie "your tears say more than evidence ever could" Raphael.
