Supermarket Sweep! Was always a classic in the mornings back in the day *sobs*
But then they brought it back in the 00s and it flopped, as people realised a fond memory from the 90s doesn’t mean it’s something they want to watch now.
If Kyle's show is axed permanently, it should be Judge Rinder who moves up into the 9.25 slot. In the meantime, I'd schedule repeats of Rinder for now to forward promote the 2pm new shows. It's more akin to what JK does, but less patronising to the guests who participate.
Rinder's probably most likely, and would free up a slot at 2pm for a Lifestyle/Gameshow. Mind you, I wouldn't be surprised if there is something like a BGT greatest montage. I know they normally air on ITV2 but would be cheap filler
That's IF JK is axed, and that may not happen. I recall once a series of 999 on BBC1 was postponed when a stuntman was killed whilst working on the show. The series concerned was broadcast several weeks later, and during one edition, in one of his links, Michael Buerk paid tribute to the deceased stuntman.
We don't yet know the circumstances behind what's fully happened, but for the moment, JK has not been axed.
Although it has to be said, the overall reaction is "surprised it didn't happen sooner", so whatever the circumstances, this will lead to a huge debate about the show. And that sort of debate alone could lead to the show's demise.
Some are also pointing out that - if we're to believe the speculation that we're talking about a suicide - it's the third person to have killed themselves after appearing on an ITV show in little over a year.
ITV is far more likely to sacrifice The Jeremy Kyle Show rather than turn this into a wider conversation and risk losing Love Island
I think it says more about the monotony of daytime television that we're excitedly speculating which of ITV's pre-existing daytime shows will fill the slot of one of their daytime shows.

If they knew it wasn’t going to move to Channel 5 and be immediately up against whatever ITV replaced it with, then I think they’d get rid of it in a heartbeat.
Of course those who never watch it, have always wanted it to be axed, but don’t watch ITV on a morning neither now ans probably wouldn’t in any circumstances but remember when Trisha left and how well the replacements did? The less downmarket ones flopped, everyone watched Trisha on Five, and then along came Jeremy Kyle.
