As mentioned, it is sitting idle at the times they would have otherwise filmed The Jeremy Kyle Show.
Is it sitting Idle because ITV are still paying for the Dock 10 studio space as part of a deal, or because Dock10 haven't found other shows to go into it? Or are people just assuming that it's sitting idle on days it would have expected to do Kyle?
The studio can be used by other productions, now the Kyle show is not using it. It means Dock10 can rent it out to other productions. Judge Rinder and Countdown will still use it too. The Kyle set is the only thing which will be left, no doubt shoved into storage and reused somewhere else in the future.
During Countdown recordings, the aftercare section of the Kyle set is/was often used by Rachel, Nick and Susie for coffee breaks etc. Wouldn't surprise me if they keep it for that service.
I wouldn't worry about Dock10 lying idle. The studio they use (HQ4) is used for numerous shows other than Kyle, Countdown and Rinder.
