No doubt Five Live are having the same problems on Saturday mornings now Danny Baker has had to go away, they're having to improvise a new schedule on the hoof and there'll be obvious audience churn while that happens,

Though the difference there was that they've just got his regular standby, Geoff Lloyd, in to do the show with the same co-presenter and production company. So they've got a bit of thinking time to fill the slot, might be that contractually they can't do anything just yet. I reckon it'll be John Robins and Ellis James

In the same way ITN provide news resources to Channel 4 News etc.

ITN does produce Channel 4 News, though.

Yes, ITN produces Channel 4 News at Grays Inn Road. As I said, the only involvement with GMB I'm aware of is production of the London opts and MCR support.

Good spot. They are down to do show on a Friday afternoon 1-3, shunting the consistantly good Mayo and Kermode film review down to 3-5pm, cutting an hour off drive on a Friday only.
Messy.
Moving Robins and James to Satuday 9-11am, leaves Fridays afternoons as it is -
unless the 3-5pm change of time for the film review, is because Simon is finding getting from 1 Golden Square to BH in under an hour on a Friday afternoon, and has been getting a little too tight timewise.

6 minute taxi ride or 14 minute walk. TBH "The Film Review" really doesn't need to be live at all.

I was confused on why he didn’t move it with him to his Radio 2 drivetime show as I thought it was a continuation of the film review he took with him from Radio 1 to 5 Live (though Kermode didn’t do it by the end of the R1 show). Definitely seems a good idea to keep them separate now though obviously! Now they’re both on Scala I wonder if it’ll eventually end up on there.

To be honest, I think that's irrelevant now. The conversation has exploded far beyond whether the show was responsible for the man's death.

When the first actor to play Mark in Eastenders committed suicide after being plagued by a certain tabloid newspaper, should that newspaper have closed? Well it did, but many years later due to "phone hacking!".
