Lots of stories and revelations popping up about some of the show's working practises and an article from a few years ago which went undercover on the show:
I went to outdoor filming of Jeremy Kyle show & met woman whose stepson was being booed& jeered on stage. He had bipolar disorder & paranoid schizophrenia, she said. And she’d spent all morning pleading with the producers not to put him on air. They did it anyway pic.twitter.com/Q25TnMTyen

Stories about how they'd be brought up to Salford by taxi and then if they changed their mind, as some did, then they'd be told that they'd have to pay for their taxi fare and hotel room, which of course they couldn't afford
The hotel rooms had minibars of course, so the guests often wouldnt be looking their best for filming next morning
Reading/skimming over the articles I'm surprised on the quite quick turn around between filming and broadcast.
I expect the line about the show filmed last week due to air this week is false and just an assumption.
There is a lot of incorrect info being reported for example the show isn’t the highest rating in the daytime schedule, it’s the highest rating in the morning schedule.

The show was filmed last week this is true, the celebrity special that was due to air Tuesday was also filmed a week before planned TX.
Time for ITV to junk Jeremy Kyle for good and bring back the feel good quiz shows which were always the norm for 9.25am. Anyone remember them?
This type of show is just pure junk, which ITV have been happy to produce and air, just in the same way thousands of episodes of Jerry Springer and other similar shows in the US have been produced over the years.
Now, bring back the family friendly shows at 9.25am to lead into This Morning.
I think Jenny Powell was either calling for it to return or trying to push plans forward for a revival. I don't think anything official has been reported.
I would have suggested expanding Good Morning Britain to 9.25 and moving Lorraine to 9.25-10.30, which would give ITV the USP of being live from 6am to 2pm, but Lorraine rates too well at 8.30 for them to risk moving it.

Plus Lorraine's only live three times a week (or is it twice?).

Blimey, I'm not doing well for remembering these things lately (and I got the time ITV stops being live wrong too).
