On a week off from work and just noticed today's Jeremy Kyle has been cancelled and showing Real Deal instead.

Does this not seem a bit odd? As I'm sure Itv has plenty of JK episodes to choose from.

Interesting... turned my telly on just before 6 this morning and ITV Nightscreen was on instead of Jeremy Kyle.

Co-incidence?

Sad news - must have been a big call to suspend the show when the death didn't happen during the production itself.

Very odd for the show to be suspended in connection to the death.

It has vibes of Noel Edmonds’s Late Late Breakfast Show and look how that ended.

That death of course occurred during the actual production.
All the details will emerge in time - they will clearly be an inquest into the death as it is unnatural. (The show wouldn't be suspended if a participant had an fatal heart attack a week later.)
What are the likelyhood Judge Rinder repeats fill the slot soon - or will that be pulled as well due to it also being a show where members of the public appear and argue and then get a resolution. (Obviously usually on less personal issues.)

Isn't it only a week into a new series?

I think if you really try hard and think about it you can imagine what has happened and imagine why the show would be pulled indefinitely while they look into whether it's a thing that needs to exist anymore.

And wait for the coroner's inquest (which usually takes months).

I wonder what will fill the three hours of repeats scheduled on ITV2 each afternoon.

Based on the wording of the news reports I'd speculate that one of the participants committed suicide. If this turns out to be the case I can imagine why ITV have been quick to pull episodes, especially in light of the recent deaths of two former Love Island contestants/stars for which ITV received criticism. The Jeremy Kyle show has itself received plenty of criticism over the years, including from a judge (if I recall correctly).
