It’s cheap telly that attracts a healthy audience for the timeslot. ITV would never risk overhauling the show majorly.
Even the set is done on the cheap. Having been in the audience myself last year I saw that some of the plasmas had 1998-2006 ITV logos stickered on them on the back. So they’re at least as old as the show itself.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

More importantly, JK is revenue earning due to the numerous sponsorship deals the show has had over the years it's been on-air.
ITV's morning daytime output may not beat BBC1, but they do bring in revenue and the target audience ITV require.
