Ugh did they really have to spoil the silent credits with an ECP for a programme which was only 20 seconds away?

Didn't something like this happen only a few weeks ago and ultimately ended up on PoV with the CA defending his position and reason why he did it??

I can remember now why I stopped watching the series, it really was last of the summer wine. Top gear v2 become a pariday of its self, which is no bad thing. I hope V3 get some grounding and has more facts etc into the show. It also means as those three can now move on to adventures programmes instead.

Then why stop watching?

Any other time they may well have left it but BBC Two obviously want Odyssey to be a hit - particularly by doing the rare credits straight into ident option.

I dont really know, Its was like 2003/04 it was the next big thing etc, and I did watch old episodes on Dave, but over the last few years it just seem crap.

I wonder if the silent credits were meant as a form of protest against either having to make the episode or the BBC in general. The lighting in the hanger appeared (perhaps unsurprisingly) to be more basic than usual, with the floor one catching the cameras more than normal. There was also a noticeably large elephant in the room.

It felt like an unfinished episode, the studio looks weirdly lit and the film(s) themselves didn't have the usual heavy stylistic grade on them as usual. Some photos on twitter of the total removal of TV elements in the hangar too, Old New Top Gear is done, New New Top Gear (Evans) coming soon I guess. Plus New Not Top Gear (The Clarkson Version)

Top Gear I guess will be moving to BBC One now.

The silly thing is I think silence followed by the CA followed by more silence sounded dafter than just having straight silence. I suppose the production team wanted it to be a "this is the end" thing and the BBC simply weren't having it.

Yep, the friend that I was watching it with straight away said, "that's BBC politics right there". The BBC failing to heed the funereal tone of the final credits. The whole thing was very interesting - seemed like the production team were doing the bare minimum that they had to to show the episode - very limited studio stuff.

Loved the elephant in the room - particularly when Hammond was doing links by its backside.

Also - it seemed that the end of the second film was the night that the incident took place - do we agree? Seems very likely that Clarkson got back from being wet, muddy and drenched in his own urine to find no hot food at the hotel. And we all know what happened next...

Looked to me like the studio shots may well have been PSC rather than multi-camera.
