OK, on the BBC Breakfast topic, I started something. Jeremy Bowen is a bad presenter. He's a completely incompetent twit! Why does he always slouch? And why does he always mess up interviews and giggle in inappropriate places? I can't understand why the BBC have kept him there for any reason other than the famous BBC contract (which in radio isn't worth the paper its written on).

What are your thoughts? Do you sit there moaning about how bad he is every morning, or do you like him? Also, who would be the best breakfast team? Let me know your thoughts....

I know what you mean he is to miserable for morning news. Sophie rayworth and Joanna Gosling would be excellent

Well, I think Jeremy Bowen is useless on Breakfast. He does slouch at a 45 degree angle on the desk and does giggle in inapproriate places, eg. on the day of the Selby rail crash, he still said 'its six o'clock and giggled as they were breaking the news, I thought it was very disrespectful. I think the best team would be as follows:

Nicholas Witchell (Main Presenter)
Sian Williams (Main Presenter)
Maxine Mawhinney (Friday Presenter)
Darren Jordon (Friday Presenter)
Moira Stuart (Main News reader)
Asad Ahmad (Main Newsreader)
Chris Eakin (Friday/Weekend Presenter)
George Eykyn (Friday/Weekend Presenter)
Liz Pike (Friday/Weekend Presnter)
Sophie Raworth (Weekend Presnter) - she's on too early to see her! I don't think even Jeremy Bowen could go at the weekend!

I think though that Moira Stuart should be moved back to BBC One bulletins or even BBC News 24.

Yep Splendid Roundup, but will never happen. For some reason all news shows need a woman, with a man there to be, well, a man.

I'm sorry but old Jessa, he makes the breakfast show. Its slightly informal, while asking the right questions. Be kind to him. He's all right

Hmm... somehow I don't think that he's suited to Brekkie though, Steven. Perhaps he'd be better suited to the overnight shift or something... he always makes me feel sleepy...

I don't think he's even suitable for overnight!! Clarence Mitchell is tonnes better! Send him packing to the Middle East again, thats what I say!

I think he'd make a good presenter of 'Newsroom Antartic Circle' dont you?!? He'd be able to sit there, talking to himself, and we'd be much better off. Bring in Eakyn or Mike Peshard is what I say!!!!

Why is he soooooo bad, do you not like a bit of banter in the morning?

No!

no matter how many jokes he cracks he always seems so depressing. The BBC should put him on Newsnight but I fear he couldnt stand that long through the oppening sequence of Newsnight as he is always perched so comfortably in a chair on Breakfast

but his hair is so tidy, he adds an element to a news show, that is nothing like the news.

I agree with you there its just why cant he be on at another time in the day and not on Breakfast
