Gutted i am not. Never liked him. And when Noel Edmonds pops his clogs i'll be having a houseparty.

Just been announced on The One Show also.

Edit: I wonder if some headline writers will use "Beadle's no longer about".

Aww well I liked him anyway. With Noel Edmonds making a comeback, surely it was high time his bearded cohort returned as well. I used to enjoy Beadles About as a kid, as well as that other show he did which name escapes me.

I guess there'll be lots of headlines of the 'Beadle's No Longer About' type tomorrow.

I never know if people are being serious or not. I'm sure it was Moira who had died TVForum would turn black and a weeks rememberance. I don't feel anything, i sometimes feel guilt tripped to put RIP etc, but why, i didn't know him, still ashame, but thats me.

I can remember Beadle on Chain Letters. On one show, the female contestant ended up with the word "FART" during one of the rounds - she, Beadle and the audience ended up in hysterics! When the round finished Beadle then remarked "My, it is a bit windy in here, isn't ?" to more laughter.

Like him or loathe him, he did contribute a lot to the telly landscape, especially with Game for a Laugh which turned the 'people show' format on its head.

RIP, Jeremy.

Aww, terrible news. A great loss to British television.

Jeremy was a highly knowledgable and intelligent person. Many of you imbeciles on here won't know this but he wrote a wonderfully hard quiz for the Independent every Saturday and performed lots of charity work.

His shows may have been silly, but they were entertaining and fulfilled any criteria under which they were comissioned by the TV execs.

A sad loss.

Very sad news - do you reckon Harry Hill will remember him at the start of Saturday's You've Been Framed, as a tribute seeing Jeremy Beadle started the show 16 or so years agao? Confused:

Some really nasty comments here. A man has died leaving behind a wife and two children. You say you hate him and you make snide comments on his character but you've never met him. Shame on you.

His obit on BBC News is worth a read and should help some people understand that this was a man who was very intelligent, entertained millions, didn't take himself seriously and was awarded an MBE for raising millions for charity - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7217383.stm

Who says i've never met him, knew him or worked with him. I don't like him, end of. Glad to see the back of him in all honesty. Doesn't mean i don't feel for those left behind that loved him but this thread isn't about his loved ones is it.

An awful lot of whooshs and some people might have been at the receiving end of Beadles pranks if they hate him so much.

He was the first person I heard of who had the same first name as me, before Jeremy Clarkson. I though Jeremy was an unusual name at the time. Mind you I was only 6. May he have good luck in his next life. Wink
