They're always live - unless SMG are doing one seperate to the network and it's too close to do them both live.

I know that when the News Channel existed the summarys at the top and bottom of the hour were pre recorded, i will never forget the bulletin where the sound was playing up, and it happened in the same place of the summary evey half an hour.

Maybe a mixture of the two then, as I'm sure I saw the exact same bulletin twice in one night a few weeks back.

It was the morning of the Australian Grand Prix and Phil Gayle said the "I'll be back with more news later" line in the second bulletin, and I thought, no you won't, unless you're going to squeeze one in before GMTV at 7am.

They seem recorded, as they always say "more later" as apposed to what time they will actually be back.

I would like to see a side shot back instead of the titles at the start and end of the summary like in 1999 era. They could put the titles on the newswall.
