There's special programmes looking at ITV's Big Clean Up campaign tonight at 7.30

Many regions don't have their own programme instead they are joining up with their neighbouring region as follows

London and Central - Margherita Taylor and Joanne Malin look back at ITV's Big Clean Up campaign during the summer

Yorkshire and Granada - Duncan Wood and Fred Talbot join forces to Clean up the North

Tyne Tees and Border - Tim Backshall and Alex Watson take a look at the success of ITV's Big Clean Up campaign

Anglia - Wendy Hurrell rounds up this year's Big Clean Up campaign

Wales - An environmental special looking at the organisations working towards a cleaner world in Wales with Lucy Owen and Jonathan Hill

Meridian, West and Westcountry - Presented by Claire Manning, Alex Beresford and Aisling McVeigh

As this is an ITV PLC campaign, Channel, UTV and STV are not involved

Oddball decision to block together London and Central, then leave Anglia to do its own thing.

They couldn't even be bothered to introduce the campaign during the ident, opting inside to plug The Bill at 8. Says it all really.

Ah yes you'd never think they were trying to run a business would you.

Id have expected London and Anglia to have a joint programme and Central to have a programme to itself for their huge region.

We all know what ITV are wanting to cut back the amount of Regional programmes, but I'm getting more annoyed at how the same 'Regional' programme is shown in 2 or 3 Regions at once.

I could understand say if it was a smaller Region or maybe your next door Neighbour where there is relevance. But London and Central? Granada and Yorkshire? These are the most heavily populated areas of the country where 'The Big Clean Up' happened...

I must admit I would have expected the usual tiresome YTV-Tyne Tees production and Granada-Border. However recently they seem to have almost put TTTV in charge of a lot of Border output; the previous Border set was put together by Tyne Tees, and plenty of programmes have been TTTV-sourced in Border land. A pity for those viewers in Cumbria etc but that's the way ITV are now.

Is it that difficult for each franchise to produce its own programme? For pity's sake.

Don't forget that ITV Border have now switched to taking Tyne Tees Soccernight instead of Granada and now show Dales Diary and Eric Robson's programme. Border's Lookaround may just as well become a third version of "North East (West really) Tonight".

And what is really strange is that the Tyne Tees Sunday afternoon filler programme where celebs reading children's books from the National Centre for Kids Books in Newcastle is shown on Border and Granada.

Welcome to Scotland's world. As far as I can tell there are absolutely no properly regional programmes for STV any more aside from the news, with all the Scottish output being shown in the former Grampian and Scottish region at the same time.

oh you naive person. In Scotland, STV Central and STV North may share programming but it's still LOCAL programming.

In ITV land, it's usually
> think of cheap programme
> get regions to make variations on cheap programme
> done.
