There's nothing on the site apart from a ITA slide.
It appears that the website is registered from someone with this MAP HERE back in January 2004.
Well having a look at some of the code on the page the authors email address links to machina.co.uk who list ITV (amongst other broadcasters) as their clients, so could well be official.
Even though I'm sure that is the official logo, it looks like a mock.
Well, I've just seen the logo on the telly as part of a vote to choose which programme you would like to appear on a stamp (which has been mentioned elsewhere in thread) Surely this is a daft vote anyway, a choice between Emmerdale, which only became popular in 90's then we have The Bill which has been on the air for about 20 years or so. Then we have Coronation Street with says ITV all over. It's been on the air practically for ITV's birth.
I would have thought that SMG would take part in the celebrations. However at the Queens Golden Jubilee SMG never used the special idents that the network had produced SMG could have removed the ITV 1 from them and added Scottish/Grampian TV which would have been a nice touch but they didn't.
SMG and UTV should take part as it is 50 years of the network they are celebrating.
They can't exactly rebrand anything with their own logos as it isn't 50 years of STV, Grampian or UTV
Approaching 50 long years, and they had to go and ruin it all at about the 47 mark.
I have not been a member of this board for very long, and do not know half as much about television history as a lot of people here, but I can honestly tell you that I rank amongst the highest when it comes to how angry and disappointed I am with the current state of ITV.
As for the stamps - well, of course they wouldn't consider using programming that is no longer running. Speaks for itself really, doesn't it?
For heaven's sake. ITV is pretty damned good these days. I think your judgement is clouded by the fact that they don't have middle aged women in frilly blouses reading out of the tv times in vision any more. But the programme line-up is strong - not as good as it might be - but strong for a commercial network... good drama (Marple... Coronation St.....) News, some attempts at comedy. Fifty years of ITV... bring it on. At least they ditched Crossroads, the farm of Emmerdale...celebrity squares. Now make a wish....

I wish people would stop watching ITV just for the sake of it and complain about it instead.

ITV (as was) did indeed die in its sleep in 2002.
I witness the Funeral Glen & Trish gave the service on LWT unfortunately no one outside London saw
