This style of logo was used on Carlon's Ad campaign last year and was also used for the 2002 Next Caption. It isnt exactley the same as the scratch.

I thought this WAS the scratch! What is different?

It is but there are differences (although slight!)

1: The corporate one (normal without Animation):

2: On-screen (animating one)

3: Other

4: Another verion, also used at Christmas 2003

5: Corporate

Plenty to choose from! Of course also airing, split up ITV logo and the black and white one for drama premiers. ITV has used so many different versions of logos over the past few years!

Surely 1,2,3 and the same logo just slightly different contrasts depending on how/when they grabbed them!? No.4 is possibly just another version of 1,2,3 but further along the animation when the scratch disappears. No.5 is obviously the plain corporate logo.

No.4 isnt further down the animation, its a rebuilt logo, as their are wavy lines near the bottom, as they animated with the snowflakes for the christmas look. The first 3 logos are basically the same but different versions. The logo 1 is a still version, as the animated one background is more strecthed over. The logo 3 is a rebuilt one, as the scratch never appears to be in the same position, and the colour had a more tint of green. Im not being too picky here, just pointing out there are slightly different versions!

OK, but im sure most people would only recognise about three variations of that logo.

PS where did you get them all from?

Is this ITV 50 website? from ITV or an Enthusiast ?

There's nothing on the site apart from a ITA slide.

It appears that the website is registered from someone with this MAP HERE back in January 2004.

You've posted in this thread several times now, and still have failed to correct the glaring spelling mistake in the thread title.

Or is it designed to antagonise ? It worked.

LOL - thanks for pointing that out. I honestly didn't realise. I usually try and spell things correctly and edit a post asap if I spot one.

Seems it's not only me that has typing problems. See HERE

Will ITV's 50th anniversary be worth celebrating? I think not.

Melvyn Bragg is doing an anniversary series but what's the betting Charles Allen and his minions will dilute the show, focusing only on light entertainment and Coronation Street? ITV's heavyweight series, documentary, education, current affairs will doubtless be conveniently "forgotten" (think Emmerdale's "30th anniversary show" which completely ignored anything pre-1990s.)

Yet at the same time they'll probably spin some bull about how ITV remains committed to regional broadcasting...

Oh no not Lord Bragg. Someone tell him to have an holiday. Shouldnt they get someone that has played a major part in ITV?

ohwhatanight, your sig should be the logo! But they'd have to change it regionally obviously. Maybe the ident will be all the old logos floating and the HTV one would fly past to reveal the logo. But that's what there's a good chance of there being. There SHOULD be old idents there, like BBC2 did last year with invisible walls.

As it will be made by Lord Bragg, I think it's coming under The South Bank Show brand, so personally I think it is going to be honest, it's more of a view from an Arts perspective, not an Entertainment one.

My only problem with the stamps is why Corrie, Emmerdale and The Bill! ITV has made excellent programmes over 50 years, such as Minder, The Sweeney. The Muppet Show etc (The list can go on)

Back in August, they filmed a segment for this show. They interviewed Reg Varney from "On The Buses". I was in Wales on business and heard about it. Apparently it was all filmed at Pontins Holiday Camp where they filmed "Holiday On The Buses" in 1973.
