I don't know if its been said, but if you vote online at the ITV site you can suggest another programme that's missing from the list.

And it was good to see other programmes covered by This Morning, although they should really have done all these in programmes of their own.

You've just reminded me of Quayside which was a Newcastle-based soap shown on Tyne Tees and Yorkshire only about seven or eight years ago.
Oh god I remember that! Didnt it focus on an ex-footballer who owned a club, his mother, brother, and some various other people who owned a party planning business? It was really bad, airing in the 19.30 slot on Tuesdays, and you're right, it was repeated a couple of years later in an afternoon slot, about 14.30 I think.
So what soaps were mentioned by This Morning? Families, Albion Market, Night And Day or just the obvious big three?

Indeed. The afternoon slot may also have been regional. I suppose it's best asking someone who didn't live in the Yorkshire and Tyne Tees area. Anyone remember the endcap used, was it Channel 3 North East on their own or a co-production with Yorkshire.

The This Morning soaps that I saw were done by their years.. I don't know if Emergency Ward Ten was on but Crossroads was, they even went as far to admit Crossroads was the ITV soap of the 1970s, usually they pretend Coronation Street never hit a low point.
Quayside was just on in the Tyne Tees and Yorkshire region the first time round. Not sure about the repeat. It was made by the Byker Grove production company so Tyne Tees can't be totally to blame.

Yes, Corrie did have a bit of a slump in the early to mid 1970s apparently, and Crossroads was better during that period pulling in up to 20 million viewers. From 1976 onwards is what is considered to be Corrie's heyday, Bill Podmore took over as producer and Pat Phoenix (Elsie Tanner) came back after a 3 year absence, there was more comedy with the Ogdens and Eddie Yeats. This was also the point Plus began their repeat run.
As for the local YTV/TTTV soap I think it was only repeated in those regions in the afternoon slot, I only remember it being listed for those regions. We certainly never got it in Wales.
