As someone suggested in another post they should have gone for 'i'tv by double branding themselves. They would be using their 'i' twice and could have implemented their logo as such :

Personally, I think the best name would have been "ITV Active" which is a play on "Inter Active"
ITVi sounds silly, the logo is ever so extremely similar to the BBCi logo too.
I wonder whether itv.com will become ITVi... and still no mention on Freeview

Maybe the above ITVi logo (from the press release) is just a mock. Firstly, red and black makes no sense at all. Perhaps it will be called ITVi but will be branded differently?

Though thinking about it people may get confused by it; though all of the channels and services have names i.e. itv2, CiTV, itv news channel; and the old itv is now itv1; so they could easily say
"Now on itv1 the premiership; for extra interactive elements to the show digital satillite viewers can access 'i'tv by pressing the red button"
Do the pop idol and premiership interactive services carry a press red icon; or is it like UKtv where u can access it anytime without seeing it?
Will there be a text service as part of itvi? As they were testing one not so long ago.
Thinking about it; I'm sure there's a company called interactive TV or Itv that create things for MTV.

I'm pretty sure there is a company called iTV too.
I don't think they will say "Now on ITV1, Pop Idol where you can press red for ITVi." I'm pretty sure they will refer to it as "ITVinteractive" or "interactive services" etc.

Exactly, the "ITVi" brand will probably never be mentioned, it'll probably just be a logo on the service rather than something actually spoken.
I can't see any changes to itv.com either, because they probably won't follow the branding nonsense that changed BBC Online to BBCi

what would make more sense, in us a logo like ITV1's but with the end yellow square, turned to red, as it would nice, as within the ITV F1 logo, the red does go nice, at least it would mean red button and itv logo, and would tie in nicely
NE
Well if that is the new logo, and the brand name ITVi is referred to in champions league, pop idol and whatnot, then:
a)they're killing two birds with one stone,
b)replace "killing" with "shooting", "birds" with "themselves in the foot"
and "stone" with "blatent copying".
C'mon people, don't lie to yourselves, they just couldn't be a*sed putting the effort in and thought that nobody would notice.

So if they turned they took the itv1 logo and turned the end square to red and replaced the '1' with an 'i'; you would have something that would look slightly like this (though done professionally and more polished and not in a JPG form!)

Though if the logo is going to be black and red isnt it time itv dropped the blue and yellow and just have the itv logo as a white/black logo on its own that can be adapted to whatever colour? It just takes time before itv news rebrand with a red itv logo, and citv using a purple generic logo.
