ITV.com doesn't list all 15 regions in it's now and next at the top of the page. They have North (ITV1 Yorkshire and ITV1 Border I guess, it is the correct listings for my region), Scotland (scottish tv and grampian tv), and lists the other 11 by region names, not company names (North West for Granada, London for LWT, North East for Tyne Tees, South for meridian etc). Could it be that they want to axe the regional versions of the idents? They are filming some new national ones!

Surely it's already inevitable that, sooner or later , the ITV1 idents leading into regional programmes will be changed from, "ITV1 Tyne Tees" etc to "ITV1 North East" etc? Eventually . Or maybe even no visual reference to the region, just a verbal one (as is already the case in London)? It's not a question of "if", it's a question of "when". It might happen in six weeks' time, six months' time, or six years' time. We'll have to wait and see.

The guide you see on ITV.com in fact is produced by TV Times and not ITV (Carlton or Granada or whatever) themselves, so the data they recieve is from TV Times, though when you go into the in-depth listings it does list the ITV stations by ITV1 _______ (Proper name goes there)

But even when you go into the page which lists all the regions it still has the proper names, except the London ones, which are ITV1 London Weekday and ITV1 London Weekend. But I can see some of the names, especially the Granada names being safe for now.

OK Barney - I'll just create a brand-new thread about said subject!

Im sure you would be one of the first people to then add to that thread that an existing thread already exists about said subject and would point me to add to THAT thread instead.

What would you prefer?
