No thanks, he's competent but dull. A bit like when Parky first hosted the Comedy Awards before Jonathan Ross turned it into must see TV.

I must say I've always associated Schofield with the Beeb, what with his days at Childrens' BBC etc.

Cat Deeley is a predictable choice given that ITV seem to want to make her one of their Saturday night faces, despite her being distinctly average.

He's hosting The Shot that Shook the World so he is involved, just with something closer to what he is used to.

I think so. I've totally confused myself with my inability to come up with other suggestions, I just don't rate Sir Trevor as a an awards host. In fact newsreaders should stick to reading the news, have you seen how awful some of them are outside of a newsroom? Dermot Murnaghan on Eggheads, Natasha Kaplinsky on Strictly Come Dancing!!! Rolling Eyes Competent but boring. Actually that's not totally true because Gaby Roslin is rubbish as well and I don't think she's ever read a news bulletin.
