ITV50 Promos

How many times. ITV50 is 50 years of ITV. Not 50 years of ITV PLC, which shouldn't non-ITV PLC regions take part?

First showing of the promo was just on now.

They did a great job with the blending in of old celebrities with new ones. Reminded me of that train advert earlier this year.

Didn't get the first one, but this one went out just before Millionaire. My favourite bit is the bullseye cartoon flying into Big Ben!

Suprisingly, Scottish TV are showing them with the ITV50 logo. Good decision SMG!

Brilliant promos. I would have preferred The Jam's That's Entertainment (as used in the relaunch for ITV1) instead of Do Your Thing.

ITV have always been good at promos. I liked the 'Get Ready' show-slide one in 1989.

I love the music used on it (Basement Jaxx's 'Do Your Thing'). Just went to download it on iTunes. Got it on repeat.

The second promo of the clips blended together was brilliant, but I wasn't that impressed by the first. I thought the old celebs were quite poorly incorporated - especially as it was dominated by current ITV stars with a few older stars thrown in for good measure!

I agree. Scottish and Grampian are part of ITV and have been since they launched. It's not ITV plc's 50th. That was only made up last year or so.

I saw the first showing of the promo earlier on tonight - it was good, very well produced.

I was quite impressed by the party one but a few more classic stars would have been nice - maybe the two minute version features some more?

The second promo was good though, nicely edited and great to see the old News at Ten set. Anyway, here's the first...
