ITV50 Presentation

I agree Lee S, I think this change is merely going to be in presentation, retaining certainly the "itv" element of the logo, but (as has been stated in other threads) a move away from the yellow/blue colour scheme for ITV1/2.

I have a feeling, though, that the corporate logo will remain as blue/yellow, since it would be too expensive to change. Additionally, a drastic change would sweep away entirely any brand recognition they gained by the use of it as part of the ITV50 promotions.

Anyone noticed what's going on with ITV2 and ITV3!

Only seen brief clips myself, but ITV2 certainly haven't adapted anything special, though I have seen an ITV50 trailer used for Jewel in the Crown on ITV3!

Doubt ITV2 and 3 will do any special idents since they arent 50.

ITV3 is celebrating a bit (hence the dog) as their programming is repeats from the 50 years of ITV. As for ITV2, it's not 50 years old and none of it's programming is older than five years (except for some of the movies).

The episodes of Sally Jessy Raphael and Judge Judy are mostly over 5 years old.

Well, technically neither is ITV1!

Anyone got details on other programmes ITV3 are showing! Jewel in the Crown begins tonight.

No but ITV1 started out as just "ITV" - the channel which is celebrating 50 years. ITV2 and ITV3 never did.

Actually it started out as Associated Rediffusion / Associated Television (or ABC Television if your going to be picky)

Did anyone check out UTV in the middle of the night last night? I meant to but after setting the video forgot to turn it off!

They seem to have been showing the short version with the piano music a lot tonight, so maybe its not the pre-news one as such. It's a very nice piece of piano work don't you think, almost as good as some of the BBC1 balloons!

And finally, the full 2 minute long version of the promo has been shown a few times this weekend, has anyone captured this version of it?

Does anyone know what the regional variants of the ITV50 idents look like?
