Seems that Tyne Tees is the exception here... all other regions have programme titles of 'ITV50' , 'ITV's 50th' and '50 Years of ITV' (though in fact ITV West are using 'ITV West at 50' as the title of their programme).

Grampian, Scottish and UTV are not showing a special programme. Channel are showing 'ITV50 in the South Channel' .

I'd say they were just generic titles shoved in the schedule at this early stage. I doubt any programme would be called "ITV's 50th"

I haven't seen any of the celebrity promos on UTV yet but that's not to say that I haven't just missed them. I have seen the "ITV's 50 Greatest Shows" promo, the "World of Sport Revisited" (is that part of ITV50??)promo and the "Ant & Dec's Gameshow Marathon" promo.

Going slightly OT, but has anyone else got the ITV50 book? Managed to get my hand on a copy today, so far I've read the first 50 odd pages or so and it proves an interesting read. Obviously alot of it is based on The Story of ITV series, but it goes into far more detail about getting the channel set up, the programmes they originally had, and I also had a glimpse at the pages about the Unions and the troubles with them also proves interesting.

Though after searching (couldn't be arsed buying it on-line due to the fact it I would probably miss the delivery meaning I'd have to go to the local Royal Mail depot) I only found it in Borders, not WHSmith or Waterstones. Evil or Very Mad

Plus as well as all that there's those special editions of the ITV Lunchtime News and ITV Evening News, The Shot that Shook the World, plus as just mentioned in the CITV thread, a special ITV50 edition of MOM.

Central's regional ITV50 programme will be hosted by Bob Warman.

Other hosts for the regional documentaries that haven't been mentioned yet:

Anglia: Not sure
Border: Not sure (possibly Derek Batey or Fiona Armstrong?)
Granada: Tony Wilson (who else?)
TWW/HTV Wales: Arfon Haines Davies
TWW/HTV West: Lisa Aziz
Southern/TVS/Meridian: Fred Dinenage and Debbie Thrower (sadly this will also feature N****** K********)
Westward/TSW/Westcountry: Richard Bath (and hopefully Augustus J Honeybun)

Shame Channel aren't doing their own programme, just as long as Oscar Puffin gets a mention on Meridian's show to please the Channel audience.

I wonder who YTV will get to front their documentary, considering that the obvious choice (Richard Whiteley) is sadly no longer with us.

And yes, instead of a programme about regional broadcasting history, UTV are showing You've Been Framed and School Choir of the Year.
