Is ITV4 really neccessary?

I'm not sure if anyone saw it but on eBay recently an 'itv' logo sign was for sale and I'm sure it featured this new ITV logo. The seller said it had been salvaged from an ITV studio which was being refurbished.

That'll be this item then. So laughably unconvincing and blatently home made that no-one was prepared to pay even the 6p starting price.

EDIT: Oh, and the rip-off £15 postage charge won't have helped either.

Any more news on the ITV revamp or ITV4?

Personally I liek this change in logo. They have changed it but not too much so it has some links at least to the previous logo (unlike when they changed over from the IT* logo to itv logo in 1989).

However hope they don't cock up this opportunity to create as decent set of idents.

EDIT : actually I'm sure either before the News at 10:30 or After it they had a trailer for ITV 4. I didn't see it & had my back to the TV but I'm sure the announcer said "...weeknights on ITV4".

Anyone else hear / see this
