Indeed, that was my opinion too.

It could be the other way round. They said they were dropping the squares,the yellow and the blue.

Maybe they'll be a new ITV1 logo on the old backgrounds with the old boring animations.

no mention of "itv Kids" which i thought was going to be on during ITV4's downtime??

Will itv Kids ever launch??

I was abit surprised at the itv4 logo, but it depends how it would animate on screen. I didn't particularly like itv3 when I first saw it on here, but it looks ok and works well on screen.

As for this "rebrand", I somehow don't think it will be as drastic as people are expecting. The yellow/blue squares are becoming recognisable as a brand. Furthermore, the cost of changing would be an enormous waste of money for a company that has been "selling the family silver" in order to become efficient and streamlined.

They have a brand identity which works, and there is plenty they can do with it in terms of a "refresh" without going the whole hog and trying the "re-invent" themselves (again ).

I actually quite like the current itv1 presentation, it's the best we have had for a while. At least there are no Z-list celebs or dancers/skateboarders etc.

Ugh, this logo looks so cheap. The tone of blue is horrible and the brushed silver justmakes it look as if it's been knocked up in a few minutes.

But it's only a logo so far and we don't even know if this is the final, I'll reserve my judgement until I see it on the Telly. Pres and all.

EDIT - Just noticed the use of a different logo for ITV3 on page 14.

I can't see anything different about the logo on page 14 Blob, it's just the one they normally use when having the squares in line, rather than the "3" underneath.
