ITV3 Weekend Schedule

I think that the weekend schedule on ITV3 is a mess so have made up a new improved one. All the shows here will only be on at the weekend and are therefore not repeats of shows from the week which probably would turn viewers off.

As you have probably noticed I have gone for slightly more modern light-hearted shows at the weekend to give people a bit more variety.

Why repeat Crossroads? It felt like something repeated when it first aired...

And why show Corrie and Emmedale Farm at 6am and 6.30am?

As much as I want to see Night And Day being repeated, its not exactly aimed at your typical ITV3 viewer is it.

Mornings:
6am GMTV-am [TV-am's weekend mixed with GMTV's weekend]
9.25am-1.10pm CiTV Classics:SMTV 1998-99 double bill[with the right bits taken out,but i think they'd get away with Sabrina]

I don't think you can aim a channel at one audience so that's why CiTV Classics is there!

I'll prob do an afternoon tomorrow.

N&D maybe not on ITV3, but if it was re-raun on a digital channel I could see it doing very well.

I still can't think of much to show!

Surgical Spirit is actually being repeated, whether thats coinsidence or not I don't know...

I personally can't see what's wrong with the current ITV3 schedule. It's dropped a lot of the US stuff and replaced it with some fine classics. Hammer House of Horror, Rising Damp mingling with more later ITV fodder such as Morse and Seconds Thoughts.

This kind of mix is badly needed on UKTV Gold instead of the constant repeating of a handful of series day in and day out.

And as regards to SMTV, each channel can't cater for kids and young adults (no offence) it's a channel aimed at those over 35 after all.

Now a dedicated channel to all kids classics old and new, that's a different story.

Someone has to show it,but that kids channel showing old and new is a good idea.

But it's ITV3 not ITV70s.They do show some newer stuff on there,like Peak Practice anyway.

I notice they've had some of the old announcers back for ITV3 ...a couple of the lwt and carlton ones have been on lately. At least they would have remembered the progs the first time round!
