And for one million pounds or a bag of gravel, whichever is cheaper, can ITV please answer the following question, bearing in mind that if the answer is "Yes" I may just have to throw them into the nearest volcano:

WILL ARCHIVE PROGRAMMES ON ITV3 BE CUT FOR COMMERCIAL TIMING???

And to take this further....

will ITV3 cut / edit / vet programmes in a UKTVGold-style way that are deemed "offensive" by the PC brigade?

I read in the TV Times that ITV3 wont be showing golden oldies type programs, so I guess we will have to wait and see whats in the schedule when it launches.

What about ITV Gold from though?if that launches, that might not cut the shows for adverts. If it does launch though,i hope it shows old citv in the afternoons and old smtv but not from 2000/Spring 2001.

ITV Gold was ITV3's initial name as far as I'm aware.

Having only very recently acquired a Freeview Box could someone please tell me what normally happens when a new channel is allocated to Freeview as in the case here with ITV3?
Do I need to do anything with my box or will I find it will just appear on an empty channel? Though there doesn't appear to be many empty channels where all the prime ones are placed are at the moment!
Thanks.

What make/model of box do you have?

I believe some boxes have automatic scanning for new channels, but with most boxes you will have to do a 'store channels' or 'add channels' procedure when the new channel(s) are available.

You will find that some radio stations (including Premier Christian Radio and most likely 3C, the country music station) are added in the next 10 days or so

Thanks James. Mine is a Sony box. Has anyone said what Channel Numbers these new stations will be on?
