WOW! Today I notice an amazing all time first for repeats. This is truely amazing....
ITV3 have run rerun a show (Goodnight Sweetheart) completely from start to finish with all the episodes in complete in full and in total 100% running order!!!!!

WOW! Never before have I ever seen that happen?? Shocked With repeat networks and repeats of an old TV series they always and I mean ALWAYS miss episodes out or show the 1st 2 series then go back to the start and never show the later ones, and theres also massive bits cut or trimmed out of episodes.

But ITV3 for the 1st time I have ever known rerun a show from start to end with 100% perfect record. No episodes missed no scenes cut out. Spotless reun of a great series. I'd thought I'd see it ever happen.

You obviously haven't been watching Goodnight Sweetheart then. Series 6 in particular has suffered cuts to the end of every other scene, presumably due to certain punchlines being too racy for afternoon viewing. Doesn't make sense to me as it always went out at 8.30pm on BBC1, you wouldn't expect anything terribly dodgy to crop up in that timeslot.

To be fair though, I've massively enjoyed the daily repeats; reminds me what a truly great sitcom it was Smile

Ok slight oversight on my part becuase Ive been watching everyday. I thought they seemed uncut, but it is also true about the other stuff....

How many times have a started watching repeats of something only for them to get so far and not show anymore. Or jump back to start or leap and miss out 2 series etc.

In the days of plus they never got past I Dream Of Jeannie mid-season 3 then they went back to the start again Evil or Very Mad Bewitched (subject close to my heart) now Plus never got past season 2 before they went back to the start again. Also recently on living they have started serval times over too they've never got past season 3. (As it happens I have all the later seasons on high-cost import dvds now so it doesn't matter to me anymore) but at the time Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Plus with both of those they keaped missing episodes out all the time.

Back to the Goodnight Sweetheart yes it was a great sitcom as I have re-discovered Very Happy But a network showing the entire shows run from start to end without startrting over or missing episodes out or not showing the later series/seasons at all.. This is a complete 1st for me.

I hadn't watched any of ITV3 until GS came on, it also got me into Quantumn Leap which I'd never bothered with when it was on BBC2. I haven't followed that quite as closely but they appear to be showing all of those in order too. The last time I tried to see every episode of a repeat run was when BBC3 had Farscape, but they managed to screw that up royally.

It starts again from Series 1, Episode 1 tomorrow. Wonder if it will be a complete re-run of the re-run.

I really like ITV 3 - what with GS, Upstairs Downstairs, Rumpole and other quality stuff.

ITV3 has gone from strength to strength, and they seemed to have picked a good choice of BBC programmes that haven't been shown in a while.

Though one thing, I'm a bit annoyed they've stopped (well for the time being anyway) Comedy on Saturday daytimes, okay they didn't show world class sitcoms, but it was nice to watch Never The Twain, Home To Roost, Rising Damp etc.

I've loved the Goodnight Sweetheart reruns. Nicholas Lyndhurst's best role alongside Only Fools and Horses. I think Dervla Kirwan played the better Pheobe however.

The later series got a bit silly I thought but nonetheless complaining about judging by the rubbish on todays TV.

How long before another Marks and Gran sitcom, Bird's of a Feather hits ITV3? Great comic timing was certainly given to Pauline Quirke in that.

ITV3 is definitely getting better than when it first started!!!!

My wish is that they show the old original 1970's Thames series of Van Der Valk instead of showing the 1980's version.

Must admit I'd love to see a new detective drama series set in The Netherlands, especially Amsterdam, it is such a scenic city!

Maybe ITV1 could learn something from ITV3 and show the heartbeat repeats in some semblance of order. we've had episodes with Blaketon as pub land lord, postmaster and police officer all in the same week.
