I'm not sure how long they've been doing it but ITV2 currently have a rather large semi-transparent promo for Love Island on screen in the top right. It's particularly distracting as what I presume is a love heart animates.

It looks like they're staking a lot on it doing well, considering that (I don't think) they've promoted a programme in that way before.
I thought all this type of 3rd rate, barrel scraping, brain dead, lowest common denominator, pathetic, stupid, worthless, pointless, moronic "reality" crap had been relegated to itvBe.
ITV 3 regularly broadcast some of their 90's dramas that were in 14:9 with a 14:9 marker, so everything looks ill proportioned on a 16:9 TV, even the ITV 3 DOG is half off the screen. This has been happening for years, so how it hasn't been noticed or corrected is absolutely beyond me.
ITV2 now broadcasting in 4:3 centre cut again during Love Island... (Seems someone sent out the wrong AFD and taken us back 13 years)
They do bizarre things with the aspect ratio on ITV3 too - I was watching one of their 4:3 shows a few months back and midway through the show it suddenly zoomed into full 16:9, making the DOG slip off-screen and cutting out much of the picture.

I have never noticed this happen - are there any shows I can look out for so I can try this for myself?
I will keep an eye out for it again. It's usually some of their 90's dramas on around 11pm-ish that it happens on. I do recall seeing it happen once during the daytime hours, but it's definitely a common occurrence in the late evenings.
