I've always wondered whu ITV2 is watched. I don't currently get the channel but looking at TV Guides there is very little that interests me (about 1 programme over the 2 weeks of Xmas). Could someone with access to Barb figures or with a Broadcast sub, please post a copy of highly rated ITV2 programmes.

It would be good if instead of ITV2, they provided an interactive service where you demand a repeat of a particular ITV1 programme and they transmit it to your TV straight away - complete with an ad break in the middle.

It's the live football and all the 'Extra' programmes which are successful on ITV2, the likes of 'Im a Celebrity Get me out of here Now!', 'Popstars THE RIVALS! Extra' etc.
I'm not sure who watches the original commissions, but they sit quite well with all the other rubbish that digital channels show (like ITV2's 200's neighbours in the EPG)
Well they show plenty of soaps - Corrie and Emmerdale both get 2 omnibus editions over the weeked and numerous repeats during the week. And from next week Crossroads is being repeated at 10.25am and 2pm with an omnibus at midday on Sundays.
ITV2 is good, if you missed Corrie and stuff like that. But I do agree that it can be taken too far, and that it is full of repeats. It was better when it came on at 4.00pm and had more original programming like
BedRock
Soap Fever
Wide Angle
Trevor McDonald Meets
Who, What, Why
Maggie Winters (Trashy US Comedy)
Sports (It had more orginal ones than ITV did)
I also used to like the IVC, that was a good idea, but I have never liked the idents on there.

Only problem is, you might be disappointed if what you'd like to see was made before 1980. ATV in particular were notorious for wiping programmes.
Mind you, a channel would allow me to request an evening of "Independent Television for Schools and Colleges" gets my vote!
Does anyone know why they dont show repeats of Night and Day on there as they show just about every other networked ITV soap

If what you are looking for is pre-1980 programmes then why the hell are you watching ITV2?? Granada Plus, UK Gold etc may be more to your liking. You seem to be complaining about the fact that ITV2 is a 24-hour channel which doesn't broadcast anything you want to watch. So what? Half the channels on the EPG don't have anything I want to watch and the vast majority are 24H. Above Channel 525 till channel 851 .. I never ever watch. Why? Because I know there's nothing on I'd want to watch! 300-440 .. okay okay so I don't pay for them, but I wouldn't watch them even if I did subscribe!
You don't hear me complaining that they're wasting their time broadcasting 24H though cos I know that some people must be watching, otherwise they'd stop transmitting!!
I actually think it's good on 24hours! I mean I think Judge Judy is hilarious! Trisha is good too. I mean it's doing well and perhaps this has got to do more with ITV2 filling the gap on Freeview for this sort of Entertainment.
It could certainly help people tune in on Freeview and things alike. GO ITV! ROCK ON! lol

You're complaining about what ITV2 has on - and then suggest you would want to watch this. I presume you don't think there are more than a dozen people in the country (probably mostly on this forum ) who would want to watch this?
