This Morning - in the afternoon (as discussed elsewhere)

GMTV - seriously chopped! Will local idents introduce the matches beginning before 9.25 or willl it have to be done by the network?

Crossroads - gone!

Night and Day - on around Midnight now!
(no changes in Scotland/NI)

Trisha - at 5PM!

Coronation St/Emmerdale - often 1 hour late!

Friday daytime regional programmes: about 1hr early!

I do like some of it and if Crossroads does go after the summer, Trisha at 5 might go down quite well!

Trisha at 5pm sounds good to me.

She is a good talk show host. Much better than Kilroy IMO.
Whenever I'm at home in the morning I watch Trisha. The relationship between guests, audience and hosts is very good.

It'll also make a change from Never Had It So Good (or whatever they show at that time) and Crossroads.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how ITV schedule these programmes.

Only on about 3 days I think

I can't see there being a live regional announcer there at 7am, plus at Weekends, theres no overnight announcer either. Maybe Des will appear straight after the GMTV Endcap

Only on days when it isn't at 9.25am, and/or days when there isn't highlights at 5pm Very Happy

BBC1 are showing highlights between 7 and 8 on certain days

It isn't just ITV1 though, Kilroy and Neighbours is on at a different time most days, Breakfast and the BBC News at 1 are sometimes on BBC TWO, Eastenders is on at 7:55pm one day

I wonder how ITV's coverage of the European Grand Prix from the Nurburgring will be affected? Tape-delay?

Thank God I have F1 Digital Plus!!

ITV1 are showing the 10am match on Sunday 9th June, so the schedules will be free after 12noon

I agree. Kilroy is not that great a presenter at all. I know that few chat show hosts manage to stay totally neutral, with pretty much all of them leaning in favour of one argument, but no one does it quite so badly as Kilroy.

If he does not personally agree with a point, he will talk all over whoever is making it, often preventing them from saying something which may have justified their point and then quickly move on. If however he does agree with a point, he will shut up, shut everyone else up, allow the point to be made at length, and the spend the next 5 minutes praising the person making it.

I've never seen any presenter opinionate quite so much as him; the guy clearly has no time for hearing anything which he doesn't totally agree with, and in this respect the question 'how the hell did he get to be a chat show host' has to be asked.

Another point, and something that doesn't happen very often at all.

There isn't any CITV children's programmes on ITV1 at all on Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd or Tuesday 4th June.

There is the usual GMTV Kids programmes though

I'm back in Granadaland for the 2nd half of this week, and of course more important than the Jubilee, the World Cup and the Eisteddfod all put together, is that I won't be missing out on Shortland Street. Ray! (The joys of working at night.. Smile )This was mentioned in another thread, but it's vanished. It's on in Granada (and TTTV/YTV) Thursday and Friday, but I have no idea how far along they'll be or how long it's staying for... I think Granada left the plot in 1996. Strange idea to fill in Lunchtime Live with a few episodes of a long-running soap tho Confused Things like that won't make sense. Border is the only Granada-owned station to still show it daily. Good to see that Dr Ropata has landed on his feet in the new Star Wars film too..

I realise that this is very important information for you all to handle, but to be honest the jubilee and world cup coverage and alterations just make me anxious -- And we don't do change, have to go next village for that.

I can tell everyone was losing significant amounts of sleep over this one so...

Granada jumped into SS in 1998, and the episode shown was where Lionel did a Harold Bishop and 'fell' into the sea.

Excitement.
