Isn't ITV1 HD limited to ITV plc regions? Channel, UTV and STV are non-ITV plc - so don't get it in their regions?
I can't find it now, but I'm sure I read on the Freesat site that ITV HD is available in England, Wales, and the Channel Islands.
Is it not even behind the red button on UTV/STV? I think it still is here.

I'm in the STV area and I can't find any link to ITV HD on Sky, either via the red button or EPG. Thankfully it still works via the Other Channels function.
I wonder then if availability outside the English regions will be delayed until DSO in Scotland, Northern Ireland and even the channel islands, especially as STV/UTV will require their own HD stream and ECP number on Sky/Virgin if they launch a HD channel under their brand.
Interesting. I hadn't realised that there were currently three feeds of ITV1 HD knocking around on satellite at 28.2/5.
1. The original Freesat Press Red stream with the non-standard PIDs on Eurobird at 11426H on Eurobird 28.5 Widebeam DVB-S
2. An unencrypted DVB-S stream on Astra 2D 28.2 at 10832H on a UK/Ireland beam
3. A Videoguard (aka Sky) encrypted DVB-S stream on Astra 2B 28.2 at 11973V on a Widebeam,
(Although apparently the SDT for the 10832H feed says its on 11973V - which confuses Windows Media Center PCs and stops them tuning it...?)
Found a good way to tell if the show is in full HD or not. The RadioTimes website only lists the shows which are in proper native HD for example here are thursday's listings
In the papers today they're going on about BGT in HD, and Cowell's worries about his appearance in HD, and I'm sure I've seen a promo for it telling me it's also on ITV 1 HD.
