I'm actually really pleasantly surprised by ITV1 - they're making the effort to promote the channel at every opportunity, they've re-done the idents (kind of) so it feels as if a bit more effort has gone into it (unlike 4HD who just literally are a shot-for-shot simulcast of C4), and the quality of the HD picture is brilliant - at least during King Kong last night, it was second to none!
Thanks for that find. I think I'll just leave an English postcode in there and use Customise Channels to put BBC1 CI on 101 - can't do the same for ITV1 though. I could just use the red button, but from a quick back-and-forth last week, SD shows look better scaled up on the HD channel anyway, presumably because of the higher bitrate/better codec.

I agree about picture quality. I think ITV HD pic quality for full HD programmes is the best!
I remember watching Lion Country a few weeks ago and I've never seen anything so clear and perfect! It was wonderful to watch!

You have just demonstrated my Pet Peeve.
I too, find that picture quality is fab on the HD Channel. The DOG is in the air, Harry Potter is on, and it's Crystal Clear.
After viewing the HD channel, the quality of original HD being shown is beautiful.
I do like the way that they've edited the idents - though surely it would have made more sense to create brand new idents for the HD & standard channel with the cost of editing - even if graphical idents.
What I don't understand is now that they have edited them, why haven't they done two versions - one with the hd part shining on & one without - it would carry the new style logo across all itv1 output which could also bring in the new trailers & additional graphics & also fix the problem with the current standard itv1 idents & the different sizing of the logos.
