Here we go again.

Why bother launching the channel if you can't guarantee everything to be shown?

That was the one! I was going from memory.

And before anybody asks, it's a static caption, no animation.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) doesn't seem to be listed on ITV1+1 (SKY+)Shame and makes the whole point of the channel pointless.

Yes, not being able to show a film makes the whole channel pointless...

It's a poor film anyway. You're not missing much.

I recorded the beginning in the end and decided to skip the breaks, but if you disagree with the wording of my post. I was thinking of putting 'it is a little pointless' but I will continue to agree by my original post.

The thing is, the rights to the film will have been arranged long before ITV planned for a +1 service. So it may be that they can only show it once in a certain time period or only have so many showings etc.

ITV1+1 though has been in the planning for a good couple of years - it's not like some other channels which launched a +1 slot to fill a slot which suddenly became available.

Are we likely to see viewing figures for ITV1+1?

Some long-term film deals run for a lot longer than 'a good couple of years' though...

ITV should just show the ITV1 London feed for the + 1 channel and not show the regional news at all in my opinion. The arrangement as it currently is just silly... Embarassed

But far more lucrative commercially than your idea - Regional Advertising being more valuable.
