I see the Granada stations are now using christmas idents. I've just seen it for the first time at 6:30 tonight on TTTV. It doesn't incorporate the region name, just a [itv1] logo. Anyone who's got a video capture card that works.... grab a copy!!

Thank goodness for that!

I like it, very good!

The question now, is will they still dig out the Regional Idents before Calendar News etc

Quite weird that they dropped the names for ITV1 - is it a sign for the future?

Maybe they are testing the water. Then again this is Granada we're talking about - never one to take a risk!

Is it the same as UTV? With the Eskimo?

So are Meridian, LWT and Anglia using it too.

I wouldn't read anything into the fact that only 'ITV1' is shown, its probably just because they were made by London, and only one version.
After all, the 1999 idents only used the regional names, and no ITV

Hopefully it will be used throughout the week, unlike BBC which return to normal on Thursday:(

Granada seem to be showing them in 4:3 but the logo looks squashed up - if you put your TV on 16:9 it looks correct!
