Could someone please tell me which Sky channel ITV1 Wales is on for those outside Wales.

Thanks in advance.

Oh right, ta. I thought it was just on one of the 900 channels like the BBC Regions are?

Carlton/LWT is available on ch.993 but as far as I am aware all other regions, including Wales, have to be tuned in manually.

Oh, that's a blow!

It is, because if you use a Sky+ box you can't actually record from your "Added Channels", only those on the EPG.

For those without Sky, you can replicate ITV Wales, by simply sticking a "Wales" sticker under any ITV Ident when they appear on any other ITV1 region. (For genuine effect, you may wish to occasionally add the sticker, or leave it on the screen when the programmes have begun)

From Norwich - LOL funniest posting on here in ages!

How about....

For extra authenticity try playing two announcements (by the same voice) together at the same time.

That is most kind of you to say so - But it is not exactly a laugh a minute here - Discussion of Roger Cook's new beard arrangements and claims that ITV Wales are buying a new illuminated sign being the highlights of current postings....

Cool! Smile Is it going to be located on the side of the building where the old HTV logo was? I remember as a kid always making a point of looking out for the illuminated sign - shame there hasn't been one for quite a few years!

Certainly there are a number of old HTV signs rotting in the stores at Bath Road, along with lots of little branded door plaques and photos that used to line the corridors.

As for Culverhouse getting any new signage - It will only be when the current buildings get knocked down and replaced with a double garage, sorry, new studio....

There's an old HTV sign here in Wrexham in their newsgathering office. In about 2003 they covered the signs up with stick-on "ITV Wales" labels, however one's been peeled off revealing the HTV name underneath, and nothing has been done about it for well over 2 years now.
