How long has the superimposed 'Wales' lettering on the ITV1 Idents been larger and at the bottom of the screen?

They still can't fade the lettering out the same time as the logo though

I noticed that earlier today too whilst I was out. I thought for sure they'd got rid of the name altogether, but a final squint showed it in the far bottom right

Move it out the way so people don't notice so much, then make it smaller again so it's even less noticable, then have some "technical problems" with it so it doesn't appear all the time and finally it'll just "break" one day and you'll never see it again.

Ive noticed it there for the past few weeks. I wish they would either make proper ITV1 Wales idents or not bother and just stick to the ITV1 ones.

Me thinks that's the long term plan

Although it's much better it being readable (Wales), the positioning is awful, and counteracts the other.

My dear Jason, you're surely not suggesting that ITV plc may be trying to phase out the separate 'Wales' branding, only 5 years after they made a big ho-ha about 'Wales' being specifically namechecked onscreen following a 10 year break, are you?

Next you'll be claiming that they plan to totally kill off the Tyne Tees brand...

Wales hardly ever gets a mention from the announcer now which is a shame - not since they got rid of the Wales announcers in January2006.

I actually like it that way. It would look a whole lot better if it wasn't bold and was actually lined up with the ITV1 logo.
