ITV1 Transmitter Information

There's no suitable thread so I've started a new one

Viewers in Yorkshire were greated to an ITV1 Transmitter Information slide just after Coronation Street tonight. It was explaining how Emley Moor will be off yet again between 9am and 4pm tommorrow

First time I've seen this on ITV1 recently, last week we just had the announcer explaining the shut down over a standard ident, replacing the pre-programme announcement that everyone else will have got

Anyone got a capture of this ident?

I think this is rather common practice now whenever a Transmitter has to be switched off. I remember back sometime in 2004, Winter Hill had to be turned off overnight due to damage from Bad Weather, and it every possible junction, the ident would be cut in by Leeds with a slide with the 03-04 blue squares background, with simply 'TRANSMITTER INFORMATION' wrote on-screen, but with a London announcer explaining what was happening.

Though I have also known if a Daytime shutdown occurs, then they tend to mention it as every available moment during the Regional News in the morning.

What's going on at Emely Moor anyway? As from what I've seen it's been turned off alot lately...

It's only ITV, Channel 4 and Five that are switched off. BBC1 & 2 are stil on air from Emley.

Ah thanks for that. I never was certain about where the continuity announcments came from on ITV1 anymore.

Are they changing the original red warning lights or just repairing them?

They are being changed, for LED models
