ITV1 Trailers changed

Hi,
Has anyone noticed that the itv1 trailers have changed?

Instead of the four squares with a picture of the programme they are advertising with the text at the botton and squares all around they now have the picture filling 3 quarters of the screen and the text and squares at the bottom (a bit like the CiTV programmes ads!.

How long have they been in use now?

Umm - could you explain in more detail/in more clear language? And they're called Trailer Endboards, if that's what you're on about.

I think Love TV may be talking about programme trailers. There are two (or more?) styles of 'endboards' - the caption at the end of the programme trailer - one style has the programme name and time at the bottom and another style has it with programme title appearing in a different way. Both styles have been in use since day 1 of the current look AFAIK.

Well, u know the CiTV trailers, they have the ripped paper afftect at the bottom with the text, well it is like that but it is a straight line (instead of ripped) and the text and 'squares' background on there.

It is better!!

There are different types of trailer endboards for itv1.

They have the one with the big square and the three little squares that the picture goes into on the square backing.

They have the one that i've only seen used once for the beckham programme with four squares, all the same size with four different pics of david beckham (reminisant of channel 4 99/2000 break design)

They have the one for menu trailers with the coloured square with the programme info, and the one for clips of the programmes.

And there is the version where the picture fills most of the screen.

What one do you prefer fanoftv??

I don;t really mind. They all do there job, and it's all creative branding, rather than a white strap or text along with the logo.
