I noticed the regional news on ITV1 today was at 3.20pm which is very late for the "lunchtime" bulletin. I dont think its ever been on that late before?
It seems to vary a lot as some weeks its on as early as 11.20am.
And HTV Wales's schedule is again completely different to the ITV Network between 11.25am-6.30pm.

OH
Today's schedule has been totally different for over 6 hours to make way for Soccer Sunday Wales and Your Century. It was also great to see a Get Gardening pop up in the schedule aswell(!)
The most alarming thing to day was the new presenter of Soccer Sunday Wales - did anyone else see who presented?
It was a total shock and nearly made me splutter my coco-pops!!!!

Arfon Haines Davies presented Soccer Sunday Wales this week!
Is there any programme on HTV that Arfon hasn't presented?

Well I'm not an ITV Wales viewer, but I thought I'd take a look at their schedule for today, with all these variations every week.
I notice that they're not showing the Big Fight replay that the rest of network is, which seems a bit odd given that the boxer in question, Joe Calzaghe is Welsh. That seems to be to accommodate Soccer Sunday which surely could have gone out in one of two slots given to 'Britains Best Back Gardens' this afternoon when they opt out of Turner & Hooch.
The opt out this afternoon seem to be to accomodate a 20 minute regional programme, "Celtic Monsters" with other non regional fillers, making up the other 1hr 10 minutes.
I'm all in favour of variations, but the scheduling here is a bit odd is it not ?

The Big Fight is a repeat, but considering it was on so late last night I would have thought they would show it again like the rest of the network.
There is much less opting out this week, as between 12.55pm and 4.50pm we are the same as the network.
Those 2 episodes of Britain's Best Back Gardens are probabaly episodes that went out on the network a while back when ITV Wales were opting out for something else, so they probabaly had to fit them in somewhere. But yes they could have kept them for another time as they are forever showing repeats of Planets Funniest Animals and Crocodile Hunter Diaries on a Sunday afternoon.

Yes at Lunchtime it looks like they've opted out of a 1h30 programme to show Soccer Sunday and then as a result 2 episodes of Crocodile Hunter back to back.
Then later at teatime they've done the same, opted out of a 1h40 film to show a regional programme and then had to fill with 70 mins of gardening!
Also nationally, there's a liberal scattering of CITV pogrammes this afternoon, at 2pm and 3.20pm

Oh dear, looks like ITV Wales regional variations this week caused a bit of a fuss. It has to be said, it was a poor decision for ITV Wales when they had other slots they could show the football :
from icwales.co.uk
Joe Calzaghe's epic world title unification fight was knocked off the TV schedule in Wales yesterday - to the disappointment of many fans.
While other ITV1 regions showed a repeat of the Welshman's bout - which was broadcast live on the channel during the early hours of the morning - ITV1 Wales instead aired Soccer Sunday at 11.25am.
Hundreds of angry viewers contacted the channel's headquarters in Cardiff to register their outrage at not being able to see a repeat of Calzaghe's fight.
Calzaghe, 33, unified the WBO and IBF super-middleweight titles after outclassing highly-rated American Jeff Lacy in Manchester.
The mesmerising performance of the Newbridge fighter, who won on points after the 12 rounds, has been hailed as 'one of the greatest performances of all time by a British boxer'.
Pundits and professionals heaped praise on Calzaghe, unbeaten in 41 fights, with British boxing's brightest hope for the future and Olympic silver medallist Amir Kahn saying it was an 'inspiration'.
His promoter Frank Warren said the win was the 'best performance I've ever seen of any British fighter'.
Even his opponents acknowledge the enormity of Calzaghe's achievement, made all the more remarkable by the fact that he was suffering a wrist injury which almost forced him to pull out of the fight.
Lacy's venerable trainer Dan Birmingham, said, 'I have never seen a better performance by any fighter, anywhere in the world.'
Despite the obvious magnitude of Welshman Calzaghe's victory, viewers in Wales had to make do with highlights of Cardiff City's 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea's draw with Barnsley and Wrexham's draw at Barnet.
Viewer Rosemary Scadden, from Cardiff, was furious that ITV1 Wales was not showing the fight.
She said, 'It said on ITV that the fight was going to be shown at 11.25am, at 11.25am we got Welsh football.
'We have a world class boxer who is Welsh and the schedule shouldn't be written in stone.
'It is outrageous. Joe Calzaghe is a world star and world champion and his own country can't be bothered to show his fight. If I was him I'd emigrate tomorrow.'
Andrew Gough, from Carmarthen, said, 'It's terrible. He's our world champion and we can't even watch the fight. It is disgusting they've done this.'
Another viewer, Mark Sara, also from Carmarthen, described ITV1's decision as 'farcical'.
Mark Davies, from Cardiff, said, 'I just find it incredible. I have a 10-month-old baby so couldn't watch the fight live.
'They are showing it in other ITV regions, why couldn't they in Wales? Considering how big the fight was and especially as Calzaghe is Welsh, they could've shown it in place of other programmes.'
ITV1 Wales defended the decision to air Soccer Sunday instead of a repeat of the Calzaghe fight.
A spokeswoman told the Western Mail, 'Both the Joe Calzaghe and Enzo Maccarinelli fights were shown live on ITV1 Wales.
'This morning, while other regions were showing the boxing, ITV Wales was showing the highly popular Soccer Sunday.
'We are the only region to show football on a Sunday, pleasing the demands of Welsh soccer supporters.
'We are fully aware of our viewers' needs and the fight was shown in full last night and has also been covered in all our news programmes as well.
'With the Soccer Sunday slot, we had to show the football. We are the only region that opts out and shows football programmes on a Sunday. But if the demand is there, we can look at showing the repeat of the fight again in Wales.'
But viewer James Lee Barrett, from Swansea, said, 'I was looking forward to watching Joe Calzaghe again this morning put in the greatest unification world title win I've ever seen.
'Guess where the only place in Britain is that I can't watch it? Wales. Whoever is in charge of programming there is not only a disgrace to their profession but also to the Welsh public.'

It appears that American Idol will only be shown on ITV2 now.
