South Bank Show to be moved to a Monday or Tuesday 11pm slot, along with revivals of Network First, Crime Monthly, Most Wanted et al type programmes
F1 - hence why have I scheduled a film at 1245 and Croc hunter at 1445. Most F1 races are start at 1pm UK time and finish around 3pm UK time - also give a bit of aflexibility when races are shown later by the dropping of the film and croc hunter!!!!

I still think croc hunter show is crap and ITV can do better than that!
Sunday has always been pants on both the BBC and ITV. Who can remember those God awful Farming programmes complete with adverts for worming guns!!! Ooh and that strange little interlude between Morning Worship and Weekend World!
BBC2 had Open University for a good part of the day and BBC1 showed wall to wall education, language and filler programmes. The evening schedules were always much better, especially on ITV thanks mainly to LWT.
The afternoon schedule today on ITV1 Wales is completely differerent to the network.

Well yes indeed young Jez, and it seems 'Wales' is being mentioned in the menu and ident junctions too.
Which makes no sense -- the local programmes aren't on until 6, how inconsistent. People are being paid for this.
Mind you I did catch a Sue voiced local trail the other day, which was nice -- also with a microscopic 'Wales' on it.
I'll never understand why so little effort is put into Sunday programming - it's surely the time of the week when the usual target audience, younger viewers, have absolutely nothing to do.
Terrestrial broadcasters put so much effort into Friday and Saturday nights, when everyone's out - I've yet to see an episode of The IT Crowd because it's always scheduled on Friday night, and I'm never in. (before anyone asks - my video's broken - but how many casual viewers are you going to lose who won't bother making the effort)
I'm now sitting about on Sunday afternoon, and the selection in front me from the big 5 are rugby (oh great), a River City omnibus (argh), Spartacus (Jesus), some sci-fi rubbish (at least this could get a bigger audience) and a very, very cheap movie (ch5). Primetime isn't much better if you're under 90 and aren't interested in the likes of Heartbeat.
No wonder Sky One put so much effort into Sunday night primetime viewing - they've got an open goal to aim at.
Incidentally, while Scotsport First is produced with a budget of approximately 50p, I've always found it better than the abortion of a programme that is Scotsport SPL. They've got no budget on First, so they just get on with showing the highlights. On SPL the presenters seem to think everyone's watching it for them, just like the very worst referees.
Am I right in saying though that Scotsport First is ending after this season, as part of the lower regional commitments?

It seems it doesnt matter whether its a "proper" regional programme or not they still call it ITV1 Wales if its an opt out from the network. Well they might as well call it ITV1 Wales if they are having to do seperate announcements I suppose.
I noticed Sue as the voice over on a trailer and on Wales This Week the other day, Arfon Haines Davies has done some voiceovers on that too.
P.S. Nice to see Justina presenting bulletins on ITV Wales News today

Well now that is all very well, but let us not forget that the average HTV viewer would not be aware that Planet's Funniest Animals and Crocodile Whatnot are opt-outs to which they alone are being treated.
I doubt looking in the regional variations of their TV Quick has ever occurred to them [unimaginable isn't it].
I noticed that some of the ads were 2am PIF quality -- I daresay the advertising prices are treated as for regional progs.

The average HTV viewer would probabaly not notice whether it was being called "ITV1" or "ITV1 Wales" either. We only notice because we look out for these things. And to think they changed an entire afternoon schedule to fit in a nostalgic look at Wales in 'Your Century'.
Instead of Planet's Funniest Animals they could have done a rerun of a regional programme, I know how you would have loved a double bill of Birdwatcher

I wonder if they notice the 'Wales' disappearing just over half way through the ident -- or the cheerful way it freezes at the end with the lovely dotted line at the top.
Mind you, as you perceptively remark, being drip-fed chips and white bread every day I doubt they'd notice much in the line of anything.

Bless them -- all is forgiven. It's not even somewhere nice.
Nicola moved to the BBC six years ago, yet she still narrates this. Hmm. She was on Human Traffic again last night too -- will pay for a couple of malibus down the con club no doubt.

Yes they should have made it Llandudno or Colwyn Bay. Mind you isnt that technically Granada's patch?
Wales Tonight was good when Nicola was presenting, Loosy was more junior back then. I saw Nicola on Arfon's "Never to be forgotton" series not so long back.

What does ITV Wales how from 09:25-10:25 then, as presumably with Soccer Sunday on at 1pm, they show something other than The Championship?
