Well, this really is excellent!
I'm sure I speak for every SkyDigital subscriber when I say 'ABOUT TIME!!!'
Well, what a lovely day to start - All Hallows Eve. You see, its actually a trick rather than a treat - the channels are there, but no broadcasts from ITV1 itself yet.

So far I like the 4 x 4 grid in the top left!
Each region is represented as a different square.

What, or indeed, who, is William Road?
Is that the location of the NTL uplink, or is everything being uplinked from Chilworth in Hampshire?
I too quite like the little grid, wouldn't mind knowing what it actually is though... is it some sort of output from the maxtrix system to identify the source, and how come there are only 16 squares - don't most of these systems handle 100+ channels..?
By the way, does anyone know the actual date ITV1 is supposed to launch on DSAT, have heard several mentioned, Nov 27 is the one I remember offhand.

So if the official ITV tests are beginning tomorrow (Thurs 1 Nov), will we be able to watch each channel properly?
As I understand it, Nov 27 is the official launch date of these regions but we will be able to watch them via Add Channels before hand. Am I right or hideously wrong?

Can someone provide a step-by-step instruction guide on getting these channels please? Make it as simple as possible - Sky Digital for Dummies!

1. Push 'Services'
2. Press '4'
3. Push '4'
You have gone to Add Channels
4. Type in the following '10891'
5. Push the green down button
6. Push the green right button to show H
7. Push the green down button
Once you're that far, make it 22000 and 5/6 on the last two options using the right green arrow button, and select 'Find Channels' or whatever it is. It SHOULD then present you with the list of channels (2:1 to 2:7), select each of them by pressing yellow and then select once you have finished.
When you have stored these channels, return to Services and select 6, Other Channels. Select one of these channels and start watching

The great Cornholio
so are there any other tricks like this - does anyone know the other frequencies and details to key in - to reveal other channels hidden from the regular Sky Digital user????
JA
Go to www.lyngsat.com, Europe, then to 28E and there you'll find a complete list of channels broadcasting from the satellite. Yes there are one or two other channels on there (Fox News being one of them).
