Getting Anglia in STV now, it's looking good!
Well, no it's not that brilliant! NTL are running tests all the time on and off. There's nothing to stop them suddenly soft-encrypting all regions (allowing us to see) or to full encrypt. I think until we get any pictures, the speculation is all that it is.

Damn looks like I missed it! All I'm getting at the mo is William Road and the other channels seem to be either blank screens saying 'No Schedule Information Available' or they're screens with a text box promoting another channel with the ITV schedule below it. Am I doing this right? Also can someone tell me which channels are where - it's getting a bit annoying going through loads of different channels when I want to pick one?

All I know is Anglia is R2 2-1 and Scottish is R3 3-1.

As a rough guide, all Carlton channels inc. HTV wales/West are on the R1 multiplex

All Granada channels except LWT which is lumped together with Carlton re on R2

SMG, UTV and Channel are on R3.

Hope that helps Smile

Hang on - I just went to R2 2-1 and it was showing the William Road testcard and tone... I thought that it was Channel on William Road or is this where the channels are uplinked from and it'll just move about as each channel is tested? Also, what are all the other channels on these transponders there for?

All of the ITV regions are being uplinked from William Road. They are all showing the test card, however they are all encrypted, with the exception of Anglia.

The reason Asa managed to do the screen grab of Channel, was because he took it the day before they encrypted.

All the other numbers such as 1-1 are regions, in that case, it is Carlton/LWT.

My thought is that the 'R' stands for Region, and each broadcaster has been given a region number. I have organised them in the following way on Other Channels:

R1 1-1 Carlton/LWT
R2 2-1 Anglia
R3 1-2 Central
R4 1-4 HTV West
R5 2-5 Meridian
R6 1-5 Westcountry
R7 2-4 Granada
R8 2-7 Yorkshire
R9 2-2 Border England
R10 2-6 Tyne Tees
R11 3-4 Ulster
R12 3-1 Channel
R13 3-2 Grampian
R14 2-3 Border Scotland
R5* 3-3 Scottish
R16 1-3 HTV Wales

( *= should be R15)

They appear to have grouped them starting with England, then Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scotland and Wales.

Then we have the remaining numbers - 1-6, 1-7, 1-8, 1-9; 2-8, 2-9; 3-5, 3-6, 3-7, 3-8, and 3-9.

There was a little change on EPG 103 in the afternoon, giving the times for 6am and 6pm, that was in the afternoon, but it's gone back to normal.

I thought the official launch was the 27th, or is this not right?

Either way, as long as we get some pictures soon I couldn't care less!

Yeah, just spotted that on DigitalSpy. The pieces do indeed seem to fit. But then again, I think it was always a target for ITV for mid-November (27th but someone mentioned that Granada have now said 20th)

Also mentioned on there was the fact that The Premiership wasn't listed last night in the EPG (instead it mentioned a different programme on all test regions). I'll check that out during tonight's 10.30pm special Sunday edition. I think but that's very interesting for rights issues which you would assume have been sorted with the encryption. Hmm...

Cheers, Asa
