ITV1 on Sky

We have an ITV1 on Sky update:

At 6PM:

Tests have appeared on the GMG and 'Independant' transponders, however nothing from Carlton yet.

When I try it I just get the no signal found message

How do you get your ITV1 region to say London Weekend Television , and your BBC News to say Home Counties, entirely out of interest?

How can I change mine? BTW the castle film is not ITV testing, but its infact ASTRA testing the uplink and transponder.

You can't change yours because Asa has added a few peices of code to stop you, and no one said that it was ITV testing, however it is in a way because its frequencies are being tested by Astra.

What's all this talk of a 'castle video'???

Are you all saying that footage of a castle is being shown as a test on Sky Digital channel 103???? (What castle? Warwick? Windsor?)

PS Does the 'search and scan banner' call it ITV 1 yet?

The castle video is a short 7second loop of some helicopter shots of castles. It's a video used by the company currently testing the serice (as I recall from DigitalSpy). Also used by ONdigital in the early days as well I think.

Sky currently 'run' ch103 so they'll be absolutely no activity on there until November when they go on the EPG and 103 points to a channel on one of ITVs satellites. I doubt they'll bother changing the banner name until ITV get their hands on it.

Here's hoping for next week's tests...
