So Jim Rosenthal is hosting tonight - who is due to host tomorrow?

Is Gabby getting her Champions League role back?

Why can’t STV show something else?

Good point. Especially as they have to compete with the Hearts game on Wednesday. Of course, they could have bid for it themselves...

What STV spending money?

Also I’m still waiting for my reply form the STV duty office about what ITV1 said that STV can do what it likes

Nice to see that the self-styled "Scottish Football Channel" sees fit to broadcast a game between two "foreign" teams(no disrespect to Liverpool, but we do have a separate football set-up here) instead of offering Scottish viewers a genuine choice - the BBC are showing the Hearts game in Scotland only, and why SMG could'nt have e.g. shown a film beats me.

Incidentally, SMG will still have to pay to broadcast the Liverpool game. They could easily show highlights of the game for say an hour after midnight at reduced cost - with the additional bonus of keeping the Mint off our screens for a while.

It is unbelievably ridiculous that ITV are delaying tonight's ITV News at 10.30 by 15 minutes to show the 1st edition of Love Island as the football overan by 15 minutes. Why show an ailing show like Love Island in favour of the news? ITV should hang their heads in shame tonight! Rolling Eyes

I agree, they could have easily delayed Love Island until 11pm

And have the news start early ? Then have complaints that people missed the start.

It's what happens when sporting events run on, the schedule is pushed back. No need for another bitter and twisted anti ITV / Love Island rant.

Im sure this was discussed before - ITV should have filler programmes on standby to fit any slot in the event of live sport. That way the news could have been shown at the normal time.

It wouldnt have killed them to have dropped Love Island for 1 night

That only applies if it's a football match that may go to extra time

The delay tonight was due to traffic congestion, what were the chances of that happening?

Dropping a scheduled programme, however poor, in favour of a new one not in any schedule wouldn't exactly be popular

Any other programme WOULD probably have been dropped, with a filler like Creature Comforts at 10:15.

Live sport can always overrun. ITV should have put something in place to make sure the news was shown on time. I doubt many people would care about Love Island tbh

Primetime
They could have done the following:

10.15 Creature Comforts
(Followed with Breaks)

or

10.20 Filler e.g Creature Comforts
(Followed with NO breaks)

10.30 ITV News
11.05 Love Island
12.05 ITV Play

Which i think is better than what they've done on Tuesday and Wednesday.
