It is rumoured that in the start of January 2001 the local itv1 regional weathers in a lot of regions are changing!

New graphics? New presenters?

Who knows? just remember to wrap up warm and get those anoraks on!

Well Yorkshire, Granada and Tyne Tees' weather already do look fairly similar.

That's properly because it's produced from the same place!

I'm sure I remember hearing that the the Carlton owned regions will be changing their graphics in the new year. They may be the same, but I think Carlton London will change to the new national style weather graphics which LWT have been using for a good while now.

Yes, Granada/YTV/TTTV's weather bulletins are all produced from the same place, and I can't see the setup changing. The only exception to the bulletins from Leeds are Tyne Tees' weekday ones with Bob Johnson, where a copy of the Leeds software is run from a computer in Newcastle.

As Bob has just signed a new contract with TTTV making him a full-time presenter and weatherman I can't see GMG North's weather system changing!!

If anything it's probably WSI having it's 3-yearly lick of paint...

Anglia's weather is changing. We used to have WSI produce it, now its going to be the Met Office. And I have seen the new graphics..... you'll have to wait for Jan 2nd!

It isn't too exciting in Carlton London - but from 2nd Jan the local weather will be sponsored by Admiral instead of Amerada.co.uk and in widescreen (as LWT) - set your videos!

A few months ago Westcountry changed from Flambards to JAG. Don't tell me they are about to change again!

Hmmm, it certainly seems that way.

Shame. We in the North East had WSI stuff until '96 as well.
