this is what some of the regions are showing

You've actually listed every 'ITV1' region except for Westcountry...

Scottish, UTV, Grampian...

They are ITV regions not ITV 1 regions. I think thats why they are not listed.

Anyway, Like I said, Scottish have the 2pm ITV show, cos at 2 they have Scotland Today. Grampian have Corrie Repeat. And UTV have, well whatever they pull out of the bag!

UTV are going to be showing I Want that House, a programme that UTV don't usually show as they have UTV Live at 5.30

Oh good old UTV!!! So while ITV1 are going on about you could win a dream home in the states, now no one in NI is going to stand a chance of winning!

Eh, probably me being stupid but although they don't take the ITV1 branding, they are still regions on the ITV network.

Before the rebranding they were considered ITV regions (Grampian kept the old ITV generic ident until 1998) so are they not still now?

They're on the ITV network, they get ITV2 in their regions as well; so are they not then ITV1 regions?

It should be noted that there is 7 hours of regional programming on Yorkshire this week, the most there's been for over a year!

Well this can only be a good sign.......can't it?

Anyway, Just seen a regional Ident now going into the local 2pm program, and the announcer mentioned tomorrows 2:30pm local show.

Why are the local idents always the short versions?? Is it because during the hearts days, GMG North as we all know loved short versions and not the long one. So is that why we now keep getting a short local ident? Anyway, at least we get a local ident!!

I'm splitting hairs now I know, and yes they could still be called ITV regions. But they are NOT ITV1 regions. 'ITV1' does not really exist - it's just a branding exercise by Carlton and Granada on their ITV stations. The network is still the ITV network (splitting hairs even further it's technically the Channel 3 network) and hasn't suddenly become the ITV1 network just because Carlton and Granada have decided to rename their stations as such.

If it worked like that, then it could have become the Carlton Network, the Granada Network, or the any name you like network!

Sounds like someone is trying to cram their regional quota in before the year ends!

HTV Wales are showing a series called Christmas Crackers in the 2.30pm slot from 15/12/03, presented by Becky Wicks and Arfon Haines Davies apparently. Well done HTV for showing something festive in your regional slots!

I wonder if in 2004 we will have the 2.30pm regional or will it be networked again?

From the 15th Granada get a repeat of Job Swop, the programme which went out on Thursday nights, one of the episodes is where Jo Blythe swaps with that Primary School Teacher, plus we get to see 'The Granada Weather Centre' with the I Y(Chevron) Calendar stickers all over the place.
