Itv1 Regional News Programmes

Here is a bit of Trivia for us to work out over Christmas.

Which of the Regional News Programmes On ITV1 (JUST ITV1 AT THE MOMENT) have been re-vamped this year.?.

I know of Granada Reports, Anglia News At Six, Maybe Central News At Six.

Have any others changed and most of all, are any more likely to change next year.?.

I agree Border News needs to dramatically revamp, Westcountry Live needs a change too, get rid of the Sofa Look and sit behind a propper News Desk.

HTV Wales news have had the same look since March 2001. A change is desperately needed now.

The following News programmes have revamped this year

Granada Reports, Scotland Today, Central News West and East, Anglia News and Calendar have all revamped this year.

But London Tonight, North Tonight and Channel Report are overdue for a revamp as they've had the same titles since 1999. But we are certain London Tonight is getting a revamp next year when it moves to ITN.

I thought there was a thread here saying London Today has just had a revamp.

I agree about HTV News (Wales), we need a revamp, hopefully we will get one in the Spring, I like the current look but after nearly 3 years it would be nice to have something a little different.

Well bugger me there is one! Should learn to read the forum and to click down the page first before jumping into the first thing I see. Though apparently there hasn't been much change to the titles, only an update, but thats good as I like the music to London Tonight.

Someone from the Channel Islands said Channel Report's look came in in early 2000, leaving LNN the longest running at the moment, from approx Sept 1999. North Tonight was relaunched in June.

Then I am a saddo. Most of it came from tv ark, so the credit is mainly to them.

I am also *extreeeeemely* bored today, and I've been up for about 30 hours. What's that all about? I've got to spend two whole days with my family from tomorrow morning. So it doesn't really get any better.

The only one I knew on that list was HTV Wales - 5/3/01!

I remember seeing it the first day and thinking the new titles were an improvement on the red/orange ones, I didnt like those. The best ones were the blue Wales Tonight ones from 1997-1999 and the Gold Wales At Six titles from 1987-1989/90

St. Davids day and HTV News aniversary - all in the space of a week! I bet your wastepaper bin dosen't know what hits it with all the scrumpled up kleenex tissues from all the pent-up excitement of the week of Welshness!

We also have the anniversary of the introduction of the Red/Orange titles in 1999 which was on 8/3/99 - I remember this date as it coincided with the launch of the new look ITV NEWS.

Jamez, its only a regional program, its not that much of a big deal

Easy to remeber - because I helped give a good home to the old set..
