In Yorkshire, Christine Talbot and Geoff Druet presented Calendar. Christine wore all black. Chris Kiddey came live from the american base in yorkshire, coverage of the tragedy continued with a local slant.
Calendar was presented by Christine and Geoff as normal.
The majority of the programme was about the main news story.
It finished with the titles usually used at the end of those bulletins which are 'within ITN', when the 'Calendar News' slides in from the side of the screen
Not sure about Meridian Tonight open titles (don't think so though). The two normal presenters said 'if there are any significant developments during this programme we'll immediately rejoin ITN.'
A few reports, including an OB at Heathrow and Gatwick. They both then handed back to Trevor and Kirsty on a screen used for the Lunchtime crossover (A few seconds of silence between) on this 'sad day' as Geoff said.
Central News (West) mainly reported on the events in America and had a live at Birmingham airport about the grounded planes. Also it interviewed people to guage their reaction.
In about the last 15 seconds when Bob Warman was finishing up. itv News Report appeared on the plasma screen which was then faded into Trevor and Kirsty after a few seconds. Bob finished up but was slightly too late. He ended up saying 'Thats it fo....' Then the network ITV News Report came on air.
BBC Newsroom South East is my local news programme. They came on about about 6:33pm with Londoners' reaction to the news. Then at 6:40pm they cut to Gavin Esler and Jane Hill for the BBC News special.
Wrong thread Ryan:Check the 'BBC Regional News' one.

Meridian News had Andy Craig and Hannah O'Sullivan in the normal studio, wearing what they would normally wear, but 2 presenters for a 10 minute bulletin, very silly I think.

UTV Life and Live at Six did not go out - they simply continued with ITN coverage.
I guess that's what'll happen on Sky Digital if not all the regions are on it!
